Album

No Quarter is a live album by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, both formerly of English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released by Atlantic Records on 14 October 1994. The long-awaited reunion between Jimmy Page and Robert Plant occurred on a 90-minute UnLedded MTV project, recorded in Morocco, Wales, and London. It was not a reunion of Led Zeppelin, however, as former bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones was not present. In fact, Jones was not even told about the reunion by his former bandmates. In 1994, following Plant's moody, misunderstood 1993 album Fate of Nations and Page's widely lambasted collaboration with Whitesnake singer David Coverdale, the two quietly reunited to record a concert for MTV's then-popular acoustic concert series Unplugged. Page & Plant interpreted the Unplugged moniker rather liberally, bringing in a full orchestra, mandolins, and a hurdy-gurdy among other instruments, and Page turned to an electric guitar on occasion. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant changed the face of rock 'n' roll as cofounders of Led Zeppelin. The massively influential group disbanded in 1980 following drummer John Bonham's death, and Page & Plant pursued solo careers before reuniting in 1994 for MTV's hugely popular Unplugged. That historic session-which led to an international nad new studio album-became New Quarter. Page's guitar virtuosity and Plant's vocal mastery are potent as ever as they deliver thse inspired, reinvented, takes on choice picks from the Led Zeppelin songbook. Sample this album Artist. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant offered an offbeat reunion with 'No Quarter' on Oct. Any Led Zeppelin fan expecting Robert Plant and Jimmy Page 's long-awaited reunion to include John Paul Jones must have been stunned to find them working instead with street musicians in Marrakech, Morocco. Such were the otherworldly aims of No Quarter: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant Unledded , which was released on Oct. That the MTV special became the highest-rated Unplugged -era episode in the network's history would be less surprising if Page and Plant had offered such a rote superstar comeback.
