Repeaters musical repertoire includes complex solos and guitarrhythm sections that would be an influence on rocks landscape in the years following the albums release. The album has been featured on several best of lists, including a rank by Treble magazine as the eighth-best album of 1990. Repeater Q&A. Fugazi - Repeater review: Fugazi's weakest release, but still a great example of their early sound. In my personal opinion, I think it is perhaps as an album the weakest Fugazi release because of the unchanging sound of it. Where 13 Songs was able to switch between aggressive and passive hardcore songs, Repeater seems to be the most plainly aggressive Fugazi album. Sonically, they are sticking to textbook examples on how to be aggressive and it just sounds dull when compared to their future revolutionary sound. I've certainly already painted Repeater in a negative light, which isn't necessarily fair. Fugazi Runaway Return: Out of the ashtray, into the ashtray. Out of the ashtray. there's nothing living, There's nothing. There's nothing waiting, there's nothing imminent, And nobody seems surprised, The runaway returns. Welcome home son, Guess what we we're doing while you were gone Cocktail party's in gear and we were so glad that you're here, Why don't you sit down Out of the ashtray, into the ashtray, Out of the ashtray, into the family car, Out of the ashtray, into the ashtray, Out of the ashtray, into the family's arms. There's nothing waiting, there's nothing imminent, Nothing forgiven for the young idea
