Album

Time In is a 1966 studio album by Dave Brubeck, the last of Brubeck's 'Time' series. All the compositions on it were written by Dave Brubeck two co-written with his wife Iola Brubeck, and performed by the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Stylistically, they cover a considerable range, from slow ballads in a West Coast jazz sound, to some of the religiously themed work he began to essay in the later 1960s Forty Days, which would later appear in his The Light in the Wilderness: An Oratorio for Today, to more. Gone are the moody, silky textures and glissando moves of Time Out, or Time Further Out. In fact, of all the Time recordings, this is the least commercial and, in places, almost hard bop-oriented among them. This set goes beyond the entire West Coast idea as well. Brubeck Time. Thanks to snobb for the updates. Buy D. Dave Brubeck must certainly have been infatuated with time, as this is one of five albums with time in the title, and the first in that series. Recorded in the fall of 1955 when Brubeck and his players were laying thing down their music live for the most part, this diamond was recorded in the studio, featuring Joe Dodge on drums, Bob Bates doing a brilliant job on bass, and of course Paul Desmond on alto sax
